Christian continues his tutorial here, adding a character to the scene.  This immediately brings a little more impact and focus to the image.  This can also be a useful trick when sketching and rendering your designs....adding context to your images.

Now I worked out the background and the floor a little bit more.

At this point I missed something in the foreground. I thought about this and added a hunter robot.....he is looking for something...

Here I worked a little more details into the robot....just to bring him alive a little more.

And here is the final image.  I hope the tutorial gives you a good idea of why it is important to use layers, and slowly build up such a complex image.  Without using layers, such a drawing would probably take a lot more time, and certainly would not have the same flexibility to change.  Enjoy!

Finish! I added only some highlights and done... The hole picture took about 2 hours.
